Olga Carr began her work as a designer quite by accident. After a 25 year career in the hospitality & customer service industries, Olga began working with her brother selling custom lapel pins and sports trading pins.
She found she loved the graphic design aspect of the job much more than selling. She would work for hours after work and on weekends trying to perfect the skills she was taught by the professional graphic artists employed by the company. She found her calling and became one of the graphic designers for her brother's company and eventually took over the entire business. She is still at the helm and, along with her graphics team, creates custom artwork for her client's projects (see the website at www.PinOutlet.com.).
While reconnecting with old friends, many whose lives were touched by cancer, the idea for the Choices pendant was born. She wanted to pursue it to completion. Researching, deciding on the manufacturing process, materials, etc... took time and painstaking detail. Finally, on 09/09/09, all the pieces came together and she decided on "oac designs" for the name of her new endeavor. She will be adding additional inspirational pieces in the future.
Olga lives in Clearwater, Florida with her husband, son, two dogs and a goldfish.
A portion of every sale will be donated to Livestrong, The Lance Armstrong Foundation in its efforts to fight and cure cancer in honor of Olga's mother, father, brother and too many friends who are all cancer survivors.
